As the MLB playoffs begin, Red Sox Nation is abuzz with all the hype that this 'may be the year.' Well after studying data from the entire Red Sox lineup, with the historical data of previous playoffs (paying extra attention to the last ten years of Wilcard playoff teams), I have come up with a detailed plan for each series on how to win the ultimate prize.....the World Series.
Series I (ALDS)
Win 3 games before the other team wins 3 games
Series II (ALCS)
Win 4 games before the other team wins 4 games
Series III (World Series)
Win 4 games before the other team wins 4 games.
If they do everything outlined above, I believe the Red Sox can be World Series champions. Thus in turn burning the city of Boston and isn't that the ultimate goal.
