Boston's own Unearth will be featured on the upcoming MTV Headbanger's Ball CD. The album will feature 40 songs, by 40 bands, spanning 2 discs. With locals Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Staind, Godsmack(?), and Rob Zombie, as well as 36 Crazyfists, Lacuna Coil, Poison the Well, In Flames, Cradle of Filth, Eighteen Visions, SLAYER, Deftones, Mudvayne, and Strapping Young Lad, this compendium looks like it should be a part of every record collection.

Mayhem in The Living Room...

Cheech have been added to the two day Providence Hardcore fest at the Living Room. Other bands slated to appear at the event are Biohazard, Blood For Blood, Cannae, Full Blown Chaos, and according to the Blood for Blood website, Murphy's Law. If I confirm this, I'll be sure to post about it.

Watchmaker have completed recording of thier new album "Kill.Fucking.Everyone", which will be released October 14th on Willowtip Records

Thier first album "Kill.Crush.Destroy" is being re-released on Wonderdrug Records, and will be packaged with a bonus 5" white vinyl. Shit, bet you wish you hadn't chucked that record player.

Blood For Blood, perhaps one of Boston's notorious hardcore bands, has entered the internet with a brand new website, www.bloodforblood.org

They are currently recording new tracks with Kurt Ballou of God City studios, for an upcoming 7" on Bridge Nine Records, and gearing up for a tour with Slapshot and The Blue Bloods in Europe.

Slapshot will be playing live on the radio. Yeah, no shit, I'm not kidding. Tune in to 101.7 WFNX on sunday, september 28th, to hear them on the "New England Product" show with Chris Rucker. The show is on from 8:30 - 10:00, and will also feature bandmembers guest deejaying, spinning records, and interviews with Slapshot and Some Kind Of Hate who will also be in studio.
New Cd, New Label, New Drummer...

Days Gone By Have released thier album "volition" on the newly formed Hit The Pit Records label. Also, They have replaced thier drummer Joe Cogliando, who bowed out of the band for personal reasons. They have been kind enough to find a new drummer who is also named Joe, so as to cut down on any confusion.

Greg Sullivan formerly of Reveille has put up some demo MP3s of his new band, Truth Ending Cycle. They can be found on their official site truthendingcycle.com.

Also Jay (Siete) and Hefe formerly of Seventh Rail Crew have posted a track of their new band Shudderbox. The track was recorded live at Club Fuel in lovely Lowell, MA. Check it out at their site shudderbox.com.
